​Advocates can help you access transportation, phone cards, and food. This is based on your unique situation & needs. In addition to the necessities you can access at the FYRE front desk, ask your advocate about any of the following that would help you meet your needs:

• Gas Cards
• Bus Passes (TranGo is free for youth under 18!)
• Phone Cards
• Transportation to appointments or agencies
• Food Assistance
• Haircuts
• Assistance accessing TANF, SNAP, & Food Banks 
• Assistance accessing resources to help with other basic needs

In addition to the resources you can access at the FYRE front desk, advocates are there to help you access the healthcare you need. Some of the resources and services we can help with are:

• Getting Medical Insurance
• Understanding your Medical Insurance
• Medical Advocacy (helping make sure your needs and rights are respected by providers)
• Transportation to Appointments
• Understanding your rights & resources for confidential medical care in our area
• Comprehensive Sex Ed resources
• Access to Plan B, Plan C, condoms, birth control, STI/STD testing, pregnancy tests and more
• Access to pre-natal care & necessities

FYRE provides resources and referrals for behavioral healthcare. We have an excellent Recovery Coach on staff who can help navigate substance use related resources. Other mental health resources that our advocates can help you find include:

• Referrals to Advance
• Referrals to OBHC (Okanogan Behavioral Healthcare)
• Referrals to LGBTQIA-Focused mental health resources
• Referrals to treatment or detox programs
• Narcan & Narcan Trainings
• Transportation to behavioral/mental health appointments & facilities
• Substance Use Disorder Recovery Planning
• Safety Planning for mental health
• Safety Planning for domestic violence & abuse, including referrals to The Support Center
• Wellness activities & workshops
• Resources and programming about healthy relationships, consent, and more

Our advocates work with you to provide the opportunities for you to meet your goals. Our goal is to provide wrap-around services so that everything you need to succeed can be found easily under one organization. We can work with you to discover your goals, and make sure that you have everything you need to take steps towards the goals that you set. This is highly personalized by you and your advocate, but some of the resources we regularly provide include:

• Goal setting & Vision Boards
• Life skills classes called "Adulting 101" covering everything a young adult might need, from fixing household problems to opening a checking account. 
• Financial Planning

Court systems are difficult to navigate. Our advocates want to help you through the court process so that you can understand what's going on, protect your rights, access resources, and meet the court's requirements. This might look like:

• Juvenile Court Advocacy
• Adult Criminal Court Advocacy
• Family Court
• Tribal Court
• Dependency Court
• Drug Court
• No-Contact Orders (Restraining Orders)
• Emancipation
• Community Service Hours
• Working with another agency's advocates on your behalf
• Working with Probation Officers
• Referrals to Northwest Justice Project or The Support Center

No matter what level of education you're currently at, advocates can help you reach your academic goals. FYRE can help:

• Navigate middle & high school requirements
• Advocate for your rights at schools
• Find tutoring (see more in MTN) and improve grades
• Take GED pretests & tests
• Enroll or re-enroll in schools
• Apply for college & college scholarships, or do the FAFSA
• Explore alternative & non-traditional education avenues
• Truancy Board
• Prepare you for Parent Teacher Conferences
• Explore IEPs & other resources

Employment Services at FYRE can include:

• Job Corp/College Exploration
• Job Corp Enrollment & Preparation
• Finding out more about the job you want
• Filling out job applications
• Building job interview skills
• Writing your resume 
• Gaining job skills such as food handler's cards

Although FYRE serves youth ages 12-24, when our youth are parents that can mean supporting them in successful parenting. The baby closet, Imagination Library, and OCCDA referrals are available to all our youth. More intensive services are coordinated through an advocate. Some things that FYRE can offer are:

• Baby clothes, formula, diapers, wipes, blankets, and books in our baby closet
• Imagination Library applications (free books monthly from birth-5)
• Referrals to OCCDA- Okanogan County Child Development Association:
  • Rural Home Visiting Program
  • Early Head Start
  • Head Start
• Pre-natal care coordination
• Referrals to parenting classes, groups, & other services
• Referrals to Lifeline Ambulance for free car seats and car seat checks
• Resource Planning

FYRE Advocates can help you find or obtain certain documents & ID. Ask us about:

• Driver's License
• Social Security Card
• Tribal ID 
• State ID
• Birth Certificates (for you or your children)
• Identification Retrieval 

We are currently experiencing an extreme housing shortage in our area. However, advocates can still help you access housing by providing : 

• Referrals to Community Action (Okanogan County Community Action Council - OCCAC)
• Housing applications & assistance in filling them out
• Housing application fees
• Background check fees
• Rent assistance 
• Deposit Assistance
• Resources for understanding your rights as a renter
• Resources for homeless and couch-surfing youth
