College can be a huge and exciting step for youth who attend! We also know coming from a small town, a lot of things can be brand new and confusing at times. We are excited to have Keith Matt, an Omak HS alum and first-generation UW college grad, as part of our FYRE team. Keith is looking forward to supporting youth who are headed off to college - he can connect you to resources at your chosen school, do periodic check-ins with you, make sure you have the resources to get home for breaks and so much more! If you are interested in more information about college email info@fyre.org and we will put you in contact with Keith.
The Youth Leadership Council (YLC) is working towards a rural community where every young person has access to factual, non-judgmental education and services that respect their unique and powerful identities. During COVID there will be monthly zoom meetings. Email Mady@okfyre.org for more info!
